We are a full service dressage training facility located in Aberdeen, NC.
Lynn Doki is a Grand Prix rider and trainer, USDF Silver Medalist and USDF L Graduate who truly adheres to the work ethic and style of German Dressage. She worked with Joe Sandven of Tantalus Farm for over 15 years. This has provided a consistency and long-term plan as the basis of her training. This solid foundation and commitment has lent her to a steadiness and confidence in her riding that is unmistakable, and one that she is able to pass on to her students.
In addition to her work with Mr. Sandven, she has ridden in clinics with Betsy Steiner, Gigi Nutter, Laura Graves, Sara Schmitt (S), Alex Gerding, Gretchen Verbonic, and others.
The farm has hosted a number of clinics, including Betsy Steiner, Gigi Nutter, Laura Graves, Sarah Schmitt (S) and is in the process of organizing clinicians for the summer.

One of the most visually distinct features of Walhalla farm is our covered arena. It is 20x60m and features Permaflex rubber footing, full lights (that allow for evening riding), a 5' high kick-wall, and a covered viewing deck. MIRRORS HAVE ARRIVED!!!!
Installed in March 2013...one more reason not to have to look down at your horse's neck!
We are currently researching the best options for further improving the footing in the arena...stay tuned for developments!
Our newly expanded barn has nine 12x12 rubber-matted stalls, a hot and cold wash rack, front-load washer and dryer, thermostat-controlled ceiling fans in all the stalls, a climate controlled tack room, and a customized feed plan. We also have the barn professionally pressure-washed annually, both inside and out!
We have six beautiful, fully-fenced pastures; each is around one acre.
It is with great sadness that we report the loss of Lex Luthor, a wonderful friend, fabulous personality, and patient teacher. He worked in the morning, was not looking quite right in the afternoon, so we met with the vet, and took him to NC State where he died. The post revealed a herniated diaphragm and subsequent bleed. It was sudden and shocking, but at least did not cause him a protracted period of suffering. We will all miss him deeply.
April 2013: THE KING IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE KING
Affectionately nicknamed The King by a student who was smitten with him, Weinbrand (Welt Marke x Risque/Abundance) was a friend first and a competitive partner second. He was with me through many monumental life changing events, through many joys and sadnesses. He was the only horse Savin ever sat on (Savin is intelligently terrified of horses) and looked baffled as he took a few tentative steps trying to figure out what the accidental rider on him wanted. He was generous with the horse hugs - wiling to stand with his head and neck around me for as long as I needed to cry on his shoulder - even if he was out in his field, he'd be up at the gate before I even got there. He loved the girls and would stand, untied, while they coiffed him.
He was euthanized for an acute case of founder for which there was no humane chance of recovery and is buried on the far side of the arena. It was difficult to say goodbye, but there really was no choice. Even at the end, he willingly followed me as I led him on the long walk to the Rainbow Bridge.
